ELMHURST – In just one morning, Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare performed more than 400 preventive health screenings on 200 people who took advantage of a unique opportunity to learn more about, and be screened for, common health issues.
The Power of Prevention screening event on May 31 empowered people to learn about health screenings and lifestyle adjustments that save lives. Physicians and inspiring patients hosted informal discussions on heart health, diabetes and the importance of vitamin D while healthcare professionals performed a variety of screenings, including those for cholesterol, blood pressure, body composition, diabetes and vitamin D.
