Quality Indicators of Care

Public reporting of hospital clinical outcomes offers patients access to important information about the quality of care provided in hospitals so they can make well-informed decisions about their medical care. As an organization entrusted with providing healthcare in the community, we feel strongly that it is our utmost responsibility to ensure the safety of those we care for and the quality of care we provide.

Performance indicators are used to measure quality provided in pneumonia care, heart attack care and congestive heart failure care.

The data below shows the percentages of patients who received endorsed medical interventions at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital between January 2007 and December 2007, as compared to state and national averages during 2007.
