Celebrating progress

It has been about three months since the first steel began going up to form the new Hospital. With the steel work now about 40 percent complete, some areas of the building are becoming clearly recognizable. I invite you to watch the progress on our live construction camera and see for yourself.

As the steel work draws near an end, we will be turning our attention to commemorating another milestone in this historic project with a topping off ceremony. In building construction, topping off is a ceremony held when the last steel beam is placed at the top of a building.

We anticipate topping off the new Hospital this spring. After that, we will begin enclosing the building.

There is still a lot of work to accomplish, but this represents a great opportunity to celebrate the progress we have made over the past year.
