A New Campus. A New Frontier in Healthcare.
Our new 50-acre integrated healthcare campus at the corner of York and Roosevelt roads in Elmhurst takes patient-centered care to the next level. Scheduled for completion in 2011, the new integrated campus will include an acute care hospital with all private rooms, a state-of-the-art Emergency Department and technologically advanced surgical suites. It will also include guest rooms for family and friends, healing gardens and extensive landscaping.
The new campus will also feature specialty services, individual physician offices and a retail complex. Everything about it is designed to accommodate new technologies, expand our community outreach and transform how we deliver care.
Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare received approval on February 26, 2008 from the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board to proceed with its plans to construct a replacement hospital. During the Planning Board’s meeting in Chicago, members voted unanimously to grant EMHC a Certificate of Need, which is required by state law before construction can begin on major healthcare projects, such as EMHC’s.
