If you wish to speak with someone in person, financial counselors are available on the first floor of the Hospital Monday though Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Before calling or writing, you may want to read these frequently asked questions.

What you can expect

Your Hospital bill pays for the many skilled people serving you 24 hours a day. It pays for modern drugs and supplies, advanced equipment needed for your care and highly trained, licensed professionals required to provide that care. Your room, meals, treatments and many more support services are also a part of that care.

The Hospital bill does not include charges for your personal physician, surgeon, anesthesiologist, pathologist, emergency physician, radiologist or other physician assistants. You will receive separate bills from these physicians.

Prior to services being provided, you will be asked for your insurance information and may be asked to pay any out-of-pocket (deductible and/or co-pay) portion of your bill.

As a courtesy to our patients, we file claims directly with insurance carriers. Once your insurance company has made payment, you will be billed for any charges or portion that your insurance company did not cover. We will do everything possible to expedite and resolve payment of your claim with your insurance company. However, please be aware that you are ultimately responsible for payment of all bills.

We understand that healthcare expenses are often unexpected and paying for services can be overwhelming. This is especially true if you do not have health insurance. If you do not have insurance coverage or you cannot pay your bill in full, our patient representatives and financial counselors will work with you to establish monthly payment plans or eligibility for Medicaid or other financial assistance programs. Qualifying patients may be eligible for discounts if they apply to our financial assistance program.

We are concerned about our patients and their families and are proud of our mission to enhance the health of the communities and customers we serve. An important part of that commitment is to provide quality care to everyone who needs it.
