Breast Disease Support

Some of the most common concerns that face breast disease patients include their appearance, career, family, finances, transportation, fear of the unknown and quality of life.

That’s why we don’t just focus on the medical aspects of treating breast disease. Dietitians help women cope with treatment side effects and maintain good nutrition. Chaplains and social workers provide emotional and spiritual support. Women may also share their experiences through a breast cancer support group that meets weekly at the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Cancer Center.

Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare also partners with American Cancer Society programs. Reach to Recovery offers advice and encouragement from cancer survivors. The Look Good…Feel Better program teaches women beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image after surgery and treatment. We also partner with the Wellness House in Hinsdale, which provides a broad range of services to cancer patients and their families.
