A close working relationship is vital to the success of any team. The same holds true for the Emergency Department team. All of our Emergency Department physicians are board-certified in emergency medicine. These skilled physicians are trained to quickly and effectively treat all types of emergencies — from life-threatening injuries or illness to broken bones, sore throats and flu.
Each physician is backed by an impressive team of emergency nurses who aid in treatment every step of the way. In addition to offering state-of-the-art care, these nurses are trained to advise paramedics and ambulance technicians by radio before and during patient transport to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. What’s more, each nurse has special training in cardiac life support.
