Immediate Care
Now in two convenient locations (Elmhurst and Lombard).
Let’s face it: minor illnesses and accidents are bound to happen. So what do you do if you have a low-grade fever or a sore throat? What if you twist your ankle or have an allergic reaction? Well, if it’s something that requires immediate attention but isn’t an emergency, you can go to one of our Immediate Care Centers -- located at the Center for Health and the Lombard Health Center. (If you’re having chest pain, abdominal pain or shortness of breath, go directly to the Emergency Department.)
Once you arrive, you’ll receive prompt, caring attention. If you need X-rays or lab tests, we’ll take care of them. And we’ll provide a detailed report of your diagnosis, treatment recommendations and any prescriptions that were ordered. We also work closely with your personal physician, the Emergency Department and our lab and radiology departments.
We suggest you check with your insurance provider to ensure treatment at an Immediate Care center is covered.
Both Immediate Care Centers are open 7 days a week from
8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (except holidays when the Centers are open
from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
